Note: Bandhavgarh National Park is open for tourists. They can book their permits for Dhamokhar, Johila, and Panpatha online. It is mandatory to follow social distancing, wear a mask, and carry sanitizer inside the national park.
Nestled in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh National Park houses the highest population of the Royal Bengal Tigers in the world. Enjoying legendary and mythological significance, the park was a former hunting grounds of the Maharajas. It is believed that the park derived its name from the ancient fort perched on a hillock.
The fort is said to be bestowed by Lord Rama to his younger brother Lakshmana. The 2000-years old park is adorned with numerous rock paintings and manmade caves. 80 species of butterflies, 250 species of birds and 37 species of mammals and not to miss, the White Tigers reside in their natural habitat in the park.

One can enjoy Wildlife Safari in Bandhavgarh in four zones of the park in three ways. The four zones of the park are Magadhi, Tala, Panpatha and Khitauli.
Jeep / Canter Safari
Canter or jeep safari in Bandhavgarh can be enjoyed within a specified time. These jeep/canter safari tours are bliss for nature, animal and photography lovers. The enthralling rides offer matchless experiences throughout the way. 6 passengers including 1 driver and 1 naturalist are allowed in a jeep at one time while the canter can accommodate 16 tourists at a time.
Elephant Safari
The option of Elephant Safari is also available in Bandhavgarh National Park. Witness the Royal Bengal Tigers and admire the natural beauty while sitting on the back of an elephant. The assistance of the Safari guide at every time ensures safety in all manners.
